Editorial Policy
Our Commitment
Newsimo exists to inform readers around the world with journalism they can trust. Our Editorial Policy sets out the standards that guide everything we publish, from breaking world news to in-depth features. These principles apply to every member of our newsroom and to every contributor who writes for us. They reflect our belief that credible, independent reporting is essential to an informed global public.
Accuracy
Accuracy is the cornerstone of our work. We verify facts before publication, confirm details with reliable sources, and take care to present information in its proper context. We distinguish clearly between established fact, analysis, and opinion. When a story is developing and details remain uncertain, we say so plainly rather than speculate. We do not sensationalize headlines or misrepresent the substance of a story to attract attention.
Sourcing
Strong journalism depends on strong sourcing. Wherever possible, we attribute information to named, on-the-record sources and provide readers with the context to judge its reliability. We use anonymous sources only when the information is of clear public interest, cannot be obtained another way, and the source’s reliability has been established by our editors. We seek multiple sources for significant claims and give individuals and organizations a fair opportunity to respond to allegations before publication.
Corrections
We hold ourselves accountable for what we publish. When we make an error, we correct it promptly, transparently, and without defensiveness. Corrections are clearly noted so readers understand what was changed and why. We welcome readers who identify inaccuracies and encourage them to contact our editorial team at editorial@newsimo.com.
Independence
Newsimo’s journalism is independent of commercial, political, and personal interests. Advertisers and business partners have no influence over our reporting, and sponsored content is always clearly labeled and kept separate from editorial coverage. Our journalists avoid conflicts of interest and do not accept gifts, favors, or payments that could compromise their integrity. Editorial decisions rest solely with our newsroom.
Global Standards
As an international publication, we report with fairness and cultural awareness across every region we cover. We strive to represent diverse perspectives, avoid national or ideological bias, and treat the people and communities in our stories with dignity and respect. We apply the same rigorous standards whether a story unfolds in a major capital or a remote community, because every reader deserves reporting that is honest, balanced, and complete.
Feedback
We view our relationship with readers as a partnership built on trust. If you have concerns about our coverage or believe we have fallen short of these standards, we want to hear from you. Please reach our editorial team at editorial@newsimo.com.
